This is a recreational meetup for players in the area to get together to play tennis and have fun. I decided to start this meetup due to the difficulty of finding tennis meetups closer to the Metro DC area. I will try to have the meetups at the Bluemont tennis courts in Arlington. There are 9 lighted courts available. Hopefully with the cooler weather, the courts will be less crowded. If you live in the Shady Groove Area i.e Gaithersburg, Germantown, Rockville, Montgomery Village and enjoy Tennis and or other racquet sports, this it the group for you. I have noticed the lack of such a group in our area and would like to bring people together to enjoy sporting activities. This group will not entirely exclude other sports, if you want to suggest something else, please do!

We welcome all levels! Our group makes it easy to find someone to be able to play tennis with in the near areas. We will start with some warming up for the first few minutes and then play to our hearts content. Please bring your own balls, racquet, and water. We provide a forum for tennis enthusiasts to be active and social and to enjoy the outdoors.
